The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) treats wastewater and manages stormwater. Its customer service area consists of 63 communities, treating over 76 billion gallons of wastewater and 374 square miles of stormwater service area. Join District team members on a visit to the historic Lake View Cemetery Dam and Lake View Cemetery and learn about their stormwater assets' role in the regional stormwater system. The dam is located in Lake View Cemetery and is one of the largest dams in Cuyahoga County. Fun Fact: The dam appeared in the movie "Captain America: The Winter Soldier".

At 285 acres, Lake View Cemetery celebrates the rich history of more than 114,000 Clevelanders, from all walks of life, gathered in eternal rest. Lake View is also home to two buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, the James A. Garfield Memorial and the Wade Memorial Chapel. As the final resting place of many of the most influential Clevelanders of the past, visiting Lake View is like stepping into a museum of Cleveland’s history.

Participants must wear long pants and closed-toed shoes. The tour does include some uneven paths and climbing stairs. Participants will be required to sign an ASDSO Waiver and NEORSD release form.

A $25 cancellation fee will be applied to all field trip cancellations received before 9/5/2025. Cancellations after 9/5/2025 will not be eligible for a refund.
