Ghazoll (Ghaz) Motlagh is a Penn State Graduate in Civil Engineering, focused on Water Resources with 16 years of experience at WSP USA and legacy companies. Ms. Motlagh started performing hydraulic and hydrologic analyses of levees early in her career, contracted to State and local municipalities, to evaluate for FEMA Levee certification per 44 CFR 65.10 in 2012. Ghaz now leads the levee certification initiative for the Williamsport community in PA, working with multiple stakeholders and sponsors towards FEMA accredidation, as the WSP program manager and the communities' design engineer and liasion with USACE, FEMA, the State and other local and federal agencies providing funding. Ghaz also manages and leads technical tasks for NRCS, State, and private high hazard dam assessments in WV and NY, and rehabilitation designs in MA, PA, and NC, and continues to provide public outreach support for NRCS dam projects in the region. Throughout her career, Ghaz has supported water infrastructure projects including green stormwater infrastructure design and environmental stormwater permit compliance throughout the East US.
