Dr. Martin W. McCann, Jr. is an Adjunct Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University where he is the founder and director of the National Performance of Dams Program (NPDP). He teaches a graduate course on risk management for critical infrastructure at Stanford and has been involved in dam safety since the early 1980's. He is also the President of Jack R. Benjamin & Associates, Inc. where he provides engineering consulting services in the area of risk analysis and risk management. Currently he is involved in a number of risk informed decision making for dams.
