Sia Sajedi received his PhD in Structural Engineering from The Univeristy of Akron, Ohio, in 2017. Since then, his focus has been on the finite element analysis and structural design of hydraulic structures such as concrete gravity and arch dams, spillways, spillway piers, spillway gates, and intake towers. He is currently working as a project structural engineer at GFT. He has authored and co-authored more than 25 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers in the field of structural engineering and has been serving as a reviewer in more than 10 journals. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, painting, and traveling.
