Brian Crookston, PhD, PE is an Associate Professor at Utah State University and the Utah Water Research Laboratory. Brian’s research and consulting activities are focused on water sustainability and resiliency including: hydraulic structures, fluvial hydraulics, and modeling and technology. Brian has particular interest in the hydraulics and public safety of spillways including low-head dams.
Professor Rollin H. Hotchkiss, Ph.D., P.E., D.WRE, F.ASCE is a Past-President of the Environmental & Water Resources Institute (EWRI) and Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Brigham Young University (BYU). Dr. Hotchkiss began his professional career as a civil engineer in the Flood Protection Branch of the Tennessee Valley Authority and then obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota. He previously worked at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Washington State University. Dr. Hotchkiss is widely known and recognized for his expertise in flooding issues, culvert hydraulics, stream restoration, and reservoir sedimentation.
