David Hayson is a registered professional engineer in Stantec’s Cincinnati, Ohio office, serving as Team Lead for the Water Resources group. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton and has over 16 years of experience in planning, analysis, and design of complex water resource solutions. David’s background is in Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling and Site/Civil Design projects. He’s gained experience working on analyses involving system-wide models for sewers, open-channel flow and overland 2D modeling, dam breach and flood-risk studies, and large-scale site/civil design projects. David has advanced his experience through significant projects such as the Mid-Breton Sediment Diversion on the Mississippi River in Louisiana, the Hancock County Flood Risk Reduction Program and Eagle Creek Flood Basin near Findlay, Ohio, and the Sabine Pass to Galveston Bay Coastal Storm Risk Management and Ecosystem Restoration project in Orange County, Texas. Additionally, Mr. Hayson has helped lead multiple Benefit/Cost Analyses and has worked through Emergency Action Plans and Hazard Potential Classification studies across the nation.
