Janeen McDermott, P.E. is a registered professional engineer for GEI Consultants, Inc. with 15 years of experience leading feasibility studies, design and construction projects related to dams, dam removal, and stream restoration. Janeen recieved her BS degree in Environmental Biology/Zoology from Michigan State University and MS degree in Civil/Water Resources Engineering from Wayne State University. She has provided engineering services on diverse subject matters ranging from project management, evironmental compliance, stormwater managagement and design, design of energy dissipation structures, dam removal, stream restoration, sediment management, bank stabilization, and ecological restoration. Her technical expertise is in dam removal, stream restoration,and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of dams and riverine systems.
