Steve received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University and his M.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado. Steve has over thirty years of civil engineering experience including seventeen years in private industry and thirteen years with the Bureau of Reclamation. Steve joined the U.S. Army Corps of engineers over five years ago as a Lead Civil Engineer at the RMC in Denver and where his primary focus has been serving as the lead engineer for the recently completed Prado Dam Spillway Modifications Project final design. Prior to joining USACE, Steve served as a Group Manager and Project Manager at Reclamation responsible for facilitating risk analyses and leading structural evaluations and designs of heavy civil structures associated with Reclamation dams and appurtenant facilities including spillways and outlet works. He also served on Reclamation’s Risk Cadre and was Reclamation’s program manager for international consulting teams to Taiwan and Puerto Rico. Prior to joining Reclamation Steve served as a Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager for two Denver area engineering consulting firms where he led and managed heavy civil design water resource engineering projects with an emphasis on dam safety rehabilitation projects.
