Bruce Barker is a principal at MGS Engineering consultants and a civil engineer with over 30 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic engineering. He specializes in extreme flood analysis, hydrologic risk assessment, and numerical modeling. Bruce has led numerous studies in the development of hydrologic loading curves for risk assessments across a wide range of projects in the United States and Canada. He is the principal developer of the Stochastic Event Flood Model (SEFM), a state-of-the-art hydrologic model designed for the stochastic simulation of extreme storms and floods. SEFM is widely used in flood risk assessments for dams, nuclear facilities, and other critical infrastructure.
