Karen is a committed Environmental Engineer with a degree from abroad and over four years of experience in different areas of the field. She started her career in Solid Waste Management in the manufacturing industry, where she also worked on safety, health, and emergency response to help create safer workplaces.
In the past year, Karen has been learning more about Emergency Action Plans for Dam Safety, including risk management and how to prepare for emergencies involving important infrastructure.
Right now, Karen is looking for opportunities to grow her skills in water modeling, environmental monitoring, and staying up to date with regulations. She enjoys roles that combine technical work with hands-on field experience, where she can improve her problem-solving skills and help both organizations and communities meet environmental goals.
Karen enjoys learning new technologies and software, seeing them as great tools to make daily work more efficient and effective. She also values learning from experienced team members and growing through collaboration.
