Matthew Young, PE, CFM

Safety of Dams Engineer

Matt Young is the RIDM and Governance Program Manager for the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Safety of Dams (SOD) Program, headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado. Matt has worked with the BIA SOD Program since 2010 and specializes in program management, dam evaluation, risk management, consequence estimation, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and policy development. Matt is a civil engineering graduate of Colorado State University and spent several years working as a consulting engineer prior to joining the BIA.
