Jonathan Scheibly, PWS, PE, is a water resources engineer and wetland scientist with over 20 years’ experience working on stream and wetland restoration projects throughout the country. Mr. Scheibly holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Science in Biology from Morehead State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky. Prior to coming to the “dark side” of engineering, he was a biologist studying native fishes, stream ecosystems, wetlands, and bats. As an engineer, his practice focuses on stream restoration, dam removal, wetland restoration, watershed and geomorphic assessment, and green infrastructure development. His favorite projects involve applying natural channel design principles to urban streams and infrastructure protection. In his free time, he enjoys relaxing with his family, live music, kettlebell lifting, trail runs, and fly fishing and tying.
